For more than 35 years between them, Robert and Christine Fox have wholeheartedly devoted themselves to maintaining sobriety and assisting others in their journey to recovery. Drawing from her extensive background as a Substance Use Counselor in Washington State, Christine possesses the expertise to guide clients through inpatient and outpatient treatment, while Robert fulfills the role of CEO leading the team at Recovery Syndicate, actively engaging with clients on a daily basis. The couple also co-owns Clean and Sober Homes in Chandler, extending a supportive environment for individuals making the transition out of treatment and those seeking housing within the recovery community. In her capacity as CEO of Clean and Sober Homes, Christine focuses on facilitating clients’ journey from treatment to sober living, underscoring the crucial progression in their recovery process. Irrespective of their professional commitments, the Foxes extend their dedication to providing education and support to members of the community in need of assistance. Their steadfast commitment is evident through their daily presence at the clinic and their unwavering accessibility to clients and their families. The message championed by the Foxes is resolute: “It is essential to never renounce individuals grappling with addiction and/or mental health. We cannot anticipate the exact moment they will be receptive to new experiences and ideas and willing to undergo a transformative change.

Alex C Gonzalez, LPC, NCC​

Clinical Director

Alex brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team, having earned his LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) and NCC (National Certified Counselor) credentials in mental health counseling. His journey in the mental health and substance abuse field began years ago when he started working at with the Drug Court Program,  he also spent 5 years as Clinical Director of a Psychiatric Hospital in Utah, 4 years as the Director for all Mental Health and Substance Abuse services for another County in Utah and later moved to Arizona, where he continued his career in outpatient services.  Alex is also EMDR certified. Alex’s motivation to join Recovery Syndicate was fueled by his quest for a company with a strong vision aligned with his values. Beyond his professional life, Alex enjoys spending quality time traveling with his family, indulging in his passion for LEGO and all things Star Wars, and hitting the golf course. He brings innovative ideas to the table, focusing on enhancing Recovery Syndicate’s services by optimizing processes and maximizing efficiency. Alex’s greatest strengths lie in his over 25 years of experience in the industry of mental health and substance abuse, having climbed the ranks from a case manager to a Clinical Director, a testament to his dedication and commitment. As he steps into his role, Alex looks forward to continuing his growth and learning within the organization. 

 


Chuck Fenigstein

Program Development Manager

Chuck is a highly experienced professional in behavioral health with over 40 years in the field. He is the founder and CEO of Mindfulness Counseling Services since 1995, specializing in Joint Commission Accreditation, program development, and sports psychology. Previously, he held notable roles as the Corporate Clinical Director at Journey Healing Centers and the Program Director at Chandler Valley Hope RTC. Chuck currently offers consultancy services for Major League Baseball, emphasizing sports counseling, in-home detox, and mindfulness meditation. He holds a Master of Science in Education and certifications in sports counseling and meditation, known for his holistic treatment approach and commitment to ethical practices

Operations Manager

Born and raised in San Francisco, Stephen has called Arizona his home for the last 25 years. He is a dedicated leader in the behavioral health industry, bringing twelve years of experience to his Operations role at Recovery Syndicate. His strengths lie in his ability to connect with individuals while helping them navigate the complexities of early recovery, offering support and understanding every step of the way. His favorite part of the treatment industry is seeing those who are suffering get back on track and return to their lives and loved ones in a better place mentally, physically, and Spiritually than they arrived.

Brittany has been a dedicated team member at Recovery Syndicate for three years, beginning as a Behavioral Health Technician and advancing to Financial Coordinator before stepping into her current role as Executive Assistant. With six years of personal recovery experience, she is passionate about the holistic approach to addiction treatment, incorporating mindfulness, art, life skills, and spirituality to support clients on their journey to healing. Her professional background includes four years in collections and three years as a Business Office Assistant working in Senior Care, bringing a strong administrative foundation to her role. Brittany is committed to fostering a supportive and transformative environment for clients as they rebuild their lives in recovery.

Aimee Peters is a dedicated mental health professional with over 14 years of experience in the behavioral health field. Currently pursuing her LMHAC, Aimee brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her role in case management and internship coordination at Recovery Syndicate.

Her journey began in 2011 at a MAT clinic and evolved through roles in partial hospitalization, detox, residential therapy, and outpatient care. She has led outpatient facilities, facilitated IOP groups, provided therapy, and trained clinical staff—all with a focus on trauma-integrated care and holistic wellness.

Aimee holds an AOS in Transformational Psychology with a mind-body wellness focus, a bachelor’s degree in behavioral health science with a trauma specialization, and is completing a double master’s in Mental Health and Addiction Counseling with a trauma major. She is certified in clinical hypnotherapy and energy healing, and trained in DBT, CBT, ACT, and trauma-informed crisis de-escalation.

Her professional philosophy is rooted in eclectic, client-focused care—meeting each client where they are and empowering them to reclaim their lives. Aimee is a proud member of the National Collegiate Scholars, Alpha Chi Honors Society, NADDC, and the Arizona Association of Addiction Professionals (AAAP). She graduated summa cum laude and is 21 years sober from opiates, bringing lived experience and deep empathy to her work.

At Recovery Syndicate, Aimee’s vision is to create a safe, secure space where clients can heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Her passion is helping others transform their lives through empowerment, connection, and compassionate care.

Michael, as our Digital Marketing Director, draws on a unique fusion of technical proficiency, business acumen, and consulting experience. Michaels’ academic foundation in Computer Science from Texas State University underpins his expertise in web development, SEO, analytics, and digital forensics, which is bolstered by a proven track record of success in industries such as treatment facilities, real estate, and law firms.

Holding certifications in Google Analytics and Google AdWords, Michael is deeply dedicated to continuous learning and personal development, striving to deliver inventive solutions and long-term prosperity for the company and its clients. Beyond his professional role, he finds fulfillment in pursuing fitness goals, exploring new destinations, and cherishing time with family and friends, all while offering support to his fellow veterans.

Dana has over 10,000 hours of experience as a life coach. She specializes in addiction recovery coaching, relationships, communication, cognitive behavior therapy, and emotional intelligence. In addition to her formal education, Dana has over 30 years of personal recovery from addiction and codependency. Her experience spans people from all walks of life, facing unique struggles and situations. Her mission is to help our clients discover and embrace the best version of themselves. Dana’s broad education and intimate familiarity with the struggles of substance abuse recovery have given her a unique perspective to help individuals discover their own capacity for healing.
